MY RAMONIAC TRIP TO LOS ANGELES ON SEPTEMBER 6-16, 2004

I was staying 2 nights in the Randy's and Shazz's hotel room and when I woke up after first night... ...then was the day of The Ramones 30th Anniversary Party at the Avalon Theatre in Hollywood (The same place the Ramones played their last show). It was only 2 blocks from their hotel and we decided to go to wander around Hollywood. It was so great and special to meet again with those fabulous people and just discuss and wander. Around 2PM we went back to hotel but we decided go via Avalon Theatre, in the front of it was young fan Irwing whom I also knew already. Luckily Irwing got chance to attend the show, I wasn't sure of it in advance. I was going to sell my books inside the Avalon Theatre, but Arturo Vega refused it because he said that there can only sell items from what goes profits to charity... Also of my books goes pretty big part of the profits. I sold a while books outside. Then some man asked if he can do TV interview with me and Bo, who run long time Ramones fanzine. Then from somewhere appeared as well Rick Weinman to the interview, he was Johnny's guitar tech for a long time. Interview lasted around 15 minutes. Then I went to pick my photo pass, I got it after some problems.
I met couple of times with Daniel Rey during the night and he was really friendly. He as well asked me to come with him to see memorabilia upstairs. It was as extra great as I was hoped, but sadly lighting was there pretty bad. You got chance to see there Johnny's white guitar and Joey's sunglasses up close, huge amount of original photos and many special T-shirts, Ramones tour flags, Ramones promotional mini bats etc.
PICTURE ON LEFT: The Dickies was first band on stage. They played 30 minutes set filled with high energy. Singer Leonard Phillips was jumping around the stage with his personal style more than normally. With Leonard you can see from photo guitarist Stan Lee. The Dickies ended their set with Ramones song Today Your Love, Tomorrow The World. They dedicated it to Johnny.
After The Dickies was played X, sadly I didn't got any pics of them. X ended their set with Sheena Is A Punk Rocker. PICTURE ON RIGHT: It was for many people surprise that all members of Red Hot Chili Peppers were on stage, in advance was told that Flea and John Frusciante are only coming. Red Hot Chili Peppers rocked 5 songs - all of them were Ramones shock treatments. They started with I'm Against It and continued with I Wanna Be Sedated and She's The One. I thinked they were great. Members of the band were specially friends with Johnny...
